Sail Training Voyage

Great for group bookings for young people.

Leaving St Katherines Dock in London in London you will sail with EXCELSIOR for 3 nights before disembarking in Lowestoft

Join EXCELSIOR, one of Lowestoft’s last remaining Smacks still in service for a voyage exploring the east coast and the Thames Estuary.

With the challenge of navigating both the North Sea and the Thames Estuary, entering into a full ships watch system.

We can tailor this voyage to suit your group . With the skills our crew hold in both coaching and sailing training, no matter the background of those who sail with us, they will still gain the memories to last a life time.

Coupled with our own Youth development programme we also offer the opportunity for group to take part in the RYA Start Yachting Scheme, which challenges individuals on their nautical skills and abilities, including navigation and chart work, helming (steering) and rope work, allowing you to come away with a good understanding of the basics of life at sea.

The cost of a voyage for U25s is £95 per night with 12 berths available (usually made up of 10 and 2 group leaders) inclusive of all on board food and refreshments. However, we can subsidise this cost by utilising the Excelsior Trust Bursary fund to enable as many people as possible to access this sail training. We also work with local and national organisations that we can put you in touch with to further subsidise the costs.  The cost per night for over 25s is £125.
